About Hi-Five Moving & Hauling

Hi-Five Moving & Hauling is a veteran-owned local business founded in 2017 by Dilon Page.

Dilon wanted to give the business a name that was short and powerful. Something that would catch someone's attention and give them a positive feel about it. While teaching his one year old daughter how to properly give him a high five, it came to him. Hi-Five!

The Owner

Dilon Page was born in 1986 and raised in Ann Arbor, MI. He attended all Ann Arbor public schools and graduated from Pioneer High.

His first job was at the Wendy's in the Michigan Union when he was just 13 years old making $6.50/hour. He would soon get a raise to $6.75/hour and employee of the month during his 3rd month there. He worked all throughout his time in high school at different jobs until graduating in 2004. In 2008, Dilon attending bootcamp at Paris Island and became a United States Marine. After four years of traveling the world (Japan, Ireland, Afghanistan) and serving his county he was honorably discharged in 2012.

Dilon attended Eastern Michigan University but would soon dropout due to personal reasons. After years of living paycheck to paycheck he decided that the 9-5 life was not for him. Following in his fathers footsteps, he started a local moving and hauling business where he could truly put his mind and muscle to good use.

The Logo

With no skills in drawing whatsoever, Dilon sketched one of the roughest rough drafts known to man. Luckily for Dilon (so much luck) his sister had been drawing all her life and was happy to provide much needed help. When Dilon sent her his logo idea he asked her to give it some life. She obliged.

Then it was off to to the graphic design company. Back and forth with them for a week and finally you have the work of art that you see today. And what an improvement it is.
